Ranveer Singh bags his second movie with Yash Raj films

SHAHID KAPOOR, who denied to take calls from director Shaad Ali of Saathiya fame has made way for newcomer Ranveer Singh for Ali's new project. Ranveer made his debut with Yash Raj films' Band Baja Baraat.

As per sources, the friendship between Ranveer and Shaad spans almost eight years before the former made his way into the Yash Raj camp. Prior to joining movies, Ranveer had assisted Shaad as an assistant director. Ranveer after his first release considers Shaad as his mentor and gives him all the credits for discovering the actor in him.

Taking a note of the present generation, the script required young and contemporary talent for which Shahid was the initial choice, but his disinterest compelled Shaad to approach Ranveer, sources said.

Ranveer’s latest movie Band Baaja Baraat is doing well at box office and has helped him in bagging him another movie with Shaad Ali. They both always spoke about working with each other. Apparently, for this project, Shaad had Ranveer in his mind but was not too sure for having him on board.

After making an impressive debut with his first movie, Ranveer is surely making some headlines in the film circuit and is already being touted as the next big thing in Bollywood.
